To help keep your jewellery in tip top condition when wearing,
- remove your jewellery before bathing, particularly before swimming in a pool or the sea as this can speed the tarnishing of silver and gold plated silver.
- put on your perfume before your jewellery and avoid direct contact with any creams, lotions or potions.
- avoid any contact with bleach or other harsh chemicals.
- if you can, avoid consistent exposure to high humidity as this can also speed the tarnishing process.
When cleaning
- Use a warm soapy solution and a soft cloth. Do not use any abrasive substances as this can wear away any layer of gold plating that may be part of the design and/or scratch the surface of the silver. You could use a silver dip; however immediately after using this, the piece should be cleaned of any chemical residue with plenty of liquid detergent, thoroughly rinsed under running water and carefully dried with a soft, lint free cloth.

When storing
- keep separately in ziplock plastic bags. This will help to protect your jewellery from exposure to the air and minimise oxidising/tarnishing in the air.
